Hayley is thrilled to be back on stage to present ‘Pain in the Ass’! While at the Elder Conservatorium, Hayley has appeared as Frenchie in Cabaret (directed by Erin James), Frau Gabor in Spring Awakening (directed by George Torbay) and was first assistant director on the feature film Songs For A New World (Directed by Mitre Khammash). She is excited to share her first cabaret with you all.
All the sports I’ve tried and failed at.
This will be Jack’s third production with ECMT. Past ECMT productions include Cabaret (dir. Erin James) and Spring Awakening (dir. George Torbay). Outside of ECMT he recently appeared in the South Australian premiere of Beautiful: The Carol King Musical (Davine Productions, dir. David Gauci). In the future Jack hopes to travel to Montréal to study a Master of International Arts Management at HEC Montréal.
Brooklyn most recently performed as part of the backing chior in the Rock-Oprea musical Chess (Dir. Tyran Parke). She performed in the Elder Conservatorium's production of Cabaret (dir. Erin James) where she debuted in the roles of Swing and Assistant to the Dance Captain. Brooklyn also appeared in Davine Productions' Beautiful: The Carole King Musical (dir. David Gauci) in 2020. Her previous experience includes commercial and corporate dance work with MissMysa events and as a dancer at the nationally televised annual Carols By Candlelight held in Elder Park. She is also enthusiastic about the visual arts and is a skilled painter and artist.
Born and bred in the Adelaide Hills, Sam is excited to be on stage performing his first self devised cabaret! His previous roles included Herr Neumann, Rupert, and ensemble in ECMT’s production of Spring Awakening (dir. George Torbay). He was part of the crew for ECMT's Songs For A New World (dir. Mitre Khammash), and recently performed in Cabaret as Max, and ensemble (dir. Erin James).
Originally from the Adelaide Hills, April Pullen is excited to be performing her first cabaret! April has performed in two musicals with the Elder Conservatorium Music Theatre Program, as Texas in Cabaret directed by Erin James and Fraulein Knuppeldick in Spring Awakening directed by George Torbay. She featured in Lucky Seven’s music video ‘Cryin’ directed by Emma Hough Hobbs and Lewis Kennedy. April recently began studying Jeet Kune Do and is super excited to say she passed her first ever Martial Arts grading the other day! So look out…
Elisabeth is excited to be performing her first self devised cabaret in front of a live audience. Elisabeth has recently performed in Chess (Storeyboard Entertainment) and ECMT’s production of ‘Cabaret’. Other roles include Frau Bessell/Schmidt in ECMT’s ‘Spring Awakening’ (Director: George Torbay) as well as Ensemble/Dancer in South Australia’s premier of ‘Beautiful: The Carole King Musical’ (Director: David Guacci). Elisabeth has performed in a number of cabarets and charity balls throughout her singing career. In her spare time Elisabeth loves to sew and crochet.
Sally is delighted to be sharing her very first cabaret performance with the world. That is, unless you count the recent ECMT production of Cabaret (Dir. Erin James)… in which she conveniently played… Sally. A Bachelor of Arts graduate from the Curtin University of Technology, Sally also holds a Certificate IV in Musical Theatre and a Diploma of Screen Acting from WAAPA. In the ECMT’s 2019 production of Spring Awakening (dir. George Torbay) Sally was proud to take on the roles of Frau Gabor and Dance Captain. She also performed the role of Katie in the premiere film project Songs for A New World (dir. Mitre Khammash).
If you don’t hear from Sally after this show, assume her sister has found out about this cabaret and disposed of her.
Darcy began 2021 performing in ECMT's Cabaret (dir. Erin James). She has worked as a singer and entertainer in Adelaide, notably in the Mystique and Energy Oz projects for The Royal Adelaide Show (Shane International, dir. Sue Scott) and also featured alongside Kyle Charles Hall in his music video, She Will Always Be Inside of My Head (Lemonade City, dir. Cam Henschke). Her most recent theatre credits include, Martha Bessell in Spring Awakening (Elder Conservatorium Music Theatre, dir. George Torbay). Alongside theatre, she has completed a Cert. IV in Music Industry and Performance at AC ARTS and is passionate about creating her own work in the future.
Paul specialises as a repertoire coach, accompanist and music director. He has worked as a pit musician, accompanist, choir leader and music director in musical theatre and cabaret shows throughout South Australia. He is currently a resident Music Director and Repertoire Coach for the Elder Conservatorium Bachelor of Music Theatre at the University of Adelaide. Paul is also the Choir Director for the ACH Group Sing for Joy Choirs, a social program for older people in the community.
Previous show credits include Music Director for Songs for a New World and Spring Awakening (ECMT), Kinky Boots (Gilbert & Sullivan Society of SA), Avenue Q (Hills Musical Company), Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (Northern Light Theatre Company), Bye Bye Birdie (The MET), Wicked (Matt Byrne Media) and Mary Poppins (Whyalla Players). Paul has worked as Keyboard Deputy on touring productions of The Sound of Music, Singin’ In The Rain and Mamma Mia and played in numerous Adelaide based productions.
A graduate of the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (Bachelor of Arts - Music Theatre), Erin’s passion for directing began at a young age. After working as a dance captain, swing and and assistant director for the last decade, her professional directorial debut came in 2018 with She Loves Me at Hayes Theatre Co. She was the Staging Supervisor for Julie Andrew’s production of My Fair Lady (Opera Australia), Assistant Director for Vernon God Little (2014) and Stalking The Bogeyman (2018) and the Resident Director of MOON - a choral theatrical work presented by The Australian Voices (2013). She directed the CONDA Award winning production of Mamma Mia! 2019 and The Very Popular Theatre Company’s CHESS in Concert, starring Silvie Paladino and David Harris, in 2021. Most recently she directed the Elder Conservatorium Music Theatre course's graduating class in Cabaret at the University of Adelaide.
Erin's professional performance career includes roles in Australian and international productions of South Pacific, CATS, My Fair Lady, The King and I, Blood Brothers, Fiddler on the Roof, Me and My Girl, solo performances both internationally and within Australia for corporate events, cabarets, independent theatrical works, and an AACTA award nomination for her role in the feature film The Little Death.
